Thanks for reaching out to us and I will assist you and your cat as best as I can. I'm so sorry to hear that he has cancer, that truly sucks!
Larimar is a wonderful healer and animals would most likely respond well to it because of it's gentle, water energy. Larimar may also be really useful in reducing any stress that he may be having from the cancer or the meds if he's on anything.
You do not need to put the crystal directly on the tumor if you didn't feel drawn to doing that.
When it comes to animal healing, I let the animal guide me. Having the crystal near the animal is just as good as having the crystal ON their body.
If you cat is fine with the crystal ON his body or near him then let him guide you regarding how long to keep it there. Usually when they've had enough crystal energy, they will move away.
Black Tourmaline can work to help relieve pain so if that's what you're intention is for, then it may also be helpful along with the Larimar. Your intention is going to count a lot when using the crystals for him. You're welcome to share with me why you were drawn to those.
A crystal grid could also be helpful if you are unsure about whether having the crystal ON him or near him. It's a great way to send him energy without really "disrupting" him too much. If a grid was what you wanted to do, I'd recommend using cleared crystals obviously, activating your grid and while activating hold the intention for his healing and highest good. You want the crystals to have their job to do but also not close the door on them so that they're restricted. Crystals can do more than we ever imagine.
When it comes to charging water or creating elixirs for your pets, this is what I can share with you:
An elixir is water charged with crystals by sunlight or moonlight for up to 1 week, an essence is charged for 24-48 hours and a gem water is when you pop your crystal (like Rose Quartz) in your drinking water, leave it for a few hours or charge for a few hours (at least 2 hours) and then drink. That being said, this is what I'd advise:
Always keep in mind that gem waters, elixirs and essences work very subtly so it can take up to 4 weeks for that energy to effect our energies.
